KINGSTON – A Plattekill man was arrested on Friday on a charge of being a fugitive from justice from the State of Florida. Antonio Camacho-Colon, 41, was wanted for a probation violation stemming from a conviction for assault-related charges.
Earlier this week, Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies and members of the United States Marshals NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Taskforce began an investigation into the whereabouts of Camacho-Colon. On Friday morning he was located at a business in the Town of Newburgh.
Camacho-Colon was taken into custody and turned over to the Orange County Sheriff’s Office, where he will be held pending extradition to Florida.
