NEW CITY – Rockland County Executive Edwin Day has named a lifelong
county resident as the county’s first county auditor. Linda Hill
has been working for the county since 1984, most recently in the Finance
and Budget Department.

Day said Hill, a Stony Point resident, is “a classic example of
what should be a measure for promotion, dedication and talent.”
He said she will “keep looking under the hood to make sure Rockland
County operates at a maximum efficiency.”

Hill’s primary directive “is to root out any hint of corruption
and work with the proper investigative agencies to protect the taxpayers
of this county,” Day said.
