Vrablic

POUGHKEEPSIE – Who killed Alice Susan Vrablic, a 20-year-old Wappinger woman and Ketcham High School graduate, whose body was found 10 days after she failed to return home on August 22, 1970, remains a mystery.
The Dutchess County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau is seeking information about the murder and is asking anyone with knowledge of it to contact Det. Kate Capalbo at 845-486-3820 or kcapalbo@dutchessny.gov.
During the summer of 1970, Vrablic worked as a waitress at Howard Johnson’s on Route 9 in Poughkeepsie and at the end of the summer had planned on returning to France to study art.
On the night of August 22, 1970 she left work and was given a ride to the intersection of New Hackensack Road and Route 9 in the Village of Wappingers Falls. She never returned home and 10 days later, her body was found a short distance from home.
Information about the case may also be sent through the sheriff’s office tipline at 845-605-CLUE (2583) or email at dcsotips@gmail.com.  All information will be kept confidential.
