NEW WINDSOR – A resident who spotted their exterior motion light on and footprints in the snow around cars in their driveway helped New Windsor Town Police arrest a man on charges of larceny.
Officers checked out the area and located a fresh set of footprints in the snow leading into, but now out of a driveway. Underneath a car parked in the driveway they found Michael O’Connor, 22, of Cornwall, attempting to hide from officers. He was taken into custody on charges from previous vehicle larcenies and was found in possession of a large amount of loose change.
Police remind all residents to lock their car doors and keep valuables inside their homes.
