KINGSTON – One day after the Kingston Common Council approved Mayor Steven Noble’s proposed $42.5 million spending plan for 2018, he signed it into law on Wednesday.
The mayor said it is a sound fiscal plan that will provide for all the city’s needs in the new year.
“We are going to continue to provide really important services to our residents while also, for the third year in a row, holding the line on taxes and keeping our tax rates flat and declining in some situations. It’s important for us, in this world, to try to everything we can to reduce the impact on everyone’s wallet,” Noble said.
The tax levy will remain the same as this year, at $17.65 million.
