Crash involved one moving and several parked vehicles

CLAVERACK – A Stuyvesant man died Wednesday night from injuries he sustained when his SUV ran off Route 9H/23 in Claverack and for an unknown reason, crashed into several vehicles in the parking lot of Coyote Flaco.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office said around 6:50 p.m., Ronald Moore, 73, who was alone in his vehicle, crashed into another SUV by a 54-year-old Steven Hart of Hudson. The impact pushed the second vehicle into two unoccupied vehicles, one of which struck another unoccupied car.
Greenport Rescue Squad transported Moore to Columbia Memorial Hospital in Hudson where he was later pronounced dead. Hart was taken to the hospital with chest pain.
The accident remains under investigation.
Greenport Rescue Squad and Claverack Fire Company assisted at the scene.
