TOWN OF PLATTEKILL – Three Rochester men are in the Ulster County
Jail without bail following their arrests on the Thruway in Plattekill
early Sunday.
State Police stopped their vehicle for an equipment violation and a search
of the vehicle and occupants resulted in the seizure of 2.8 pounds of
cocaine.
Charged with felony criminal possession of a controlled substance were
Ricardo E. Almenteros, 19, the driver, and Ricardo Almenteros, 52, and
Edward Pearce, 24.
The older Almenteros was also charged with felony violation of probation
or parole and the younger Almenteros was charged with a vehicle and traffic
violation.
