Stone Ridge man arrested for repeatedly making threatening calls

KINGSTON – The Ulster County Sheriff’s Office arrested a Stone Ridge man on a charge of aggravated harassment.
John Wood, 47, allegedly had been contacting a residence in the Town
of Rosendale by phone for no legitimate purpose after being told to stop.
Police said on more than once occasion, he left threatening messages
on the victim’s voicemail.
Wood, who is already in the Ulster County Jail on unrelated charges, was arraigned in the Town of Rosendale Court and returned to the jail in lieu of an additional $1,000 cash bail or $2,500 secured bond, to reappear on a later date.
An order of protection was issued on behalf of the victim.
