POUGHKEEPSIE – Police
have released the name of the man beaten to death at 48 Marshall Street
in the City of Poughkeepsie. Frederick “Joey” Veitch III,
28, of Shandaken was found dead in an apartment.
The exact cause of death is still being investigated by the Dutchess County
Medical Examiner’s Office.
Charged with Veitch’s murder are David Perry, 49, and Daniel Barletta,
19, both of the City of Poughkeepsie. Perry was caught leaving the residence.
Barletta was captured in New York City later in the day after he fled
from a window in the apartment and ran away.
