Kowalewski
FISHKILL – A Cohoes woman was arrested on Saturday and charged with two counts of promoting prison contraband and other charges for trying to smuggle drugs into Downstate Correctional Facility in Fishkill.
Erin Kowalewski, 39, was also charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance, misdemeanor drug possession and unlawful possession of marijuana. Police said she had intended to provide the drugs to an inmate she was going to visit. She had in her possession Diazepam, Suboxone, hydrocodone and marijuana.
Kowalewski was sent to the Dutchess County Jail in lieu of $2,500 cash bail or $5,000 bond.
