Port Jervis man arrested on drug charges

PORT JERVIS – A 25-year-old
Port Jervis man is under arrest following the execution of a no-knock
search warrant at his apartment at 2 ½ North Street in the city
on Friday morning.

A several month undercover investigation into illegal sales of crack cocaine
and heroin in Port Jervis led to the arrest of Paul Ayala, also known
as “Mike Mike Ova.” Police seized a quantity of crack cocaine
during the search.

Ayala was charged with two counts of criminal sale of a controlled substance
and four counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, all
as felonies, as well as a violence of state parole.

Port Jervis City Police and the Orange County Sheriff’s Office Special
Operations Group conducted the warrant search. The case is being prosecuted
by the Orange County District Attorney’s Office.
