Man charged in hammer threat

SAUGERTIES – A Saugerties man is charged with menacing after he allegedly threatened to beat another man with a hammer.
Anthony Messina, 60, was taken into custody Friday afternoon at the scene on Livingston Street and Saugerties Police seized the hammer.       
A stay-away order was issued against Messina on behalf of the victim.
