Man charged with threatening with hammer

SAUGERTIES – A 60-year-old
Saugerties man has been charged with menacing after he allegedly threatened
to beat another man with a hammer.

Anthony Messina was taken into custody Friday afternoon at the scene on
Livingston Street and Saugerties Police seized the hammer.

A stay-away order was issued against Messina on behalf of the victim.
