TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – Residents in the Town of Poughkeepsie are being asked to report suspicious activity in the area of Thomas Avenue off Route 44/Dutchess Turnpike following an attempted residential burglary.
Town Police said at about 10:40 a.m. on Wednesday, a resident confronted a man while he was attempting to break in. The suspect fled into the woods and was not located.
The man is described as white, and about five feet, seven inches to five feet, eight inches call, possibly in his 20s. He was wearing a black hoodie sweatshirt and baggy black sweatpants with elastic on the ankles.
Anyone seeing a man matching that description in the area around the time of the incident or has information about the crime is asked to call the Detective Division of Town of Poughkeepsie Police at 845-485-3670.
