WASHINGTON – On Monday President Trump said he would agree to a two-year extension of the government subsidizes for health insurance under Obamacare and the following day, he said he was opposed to an extension.
That about-face came after Republicans and Democrats in Congress agreed to the extension.
Senate Minority Leader Charles Schumer told MidHudsonNews.com on Wednesday that he is confused.
“We are working in a bipartisan way; we just came to an agreement with (Senator) Lamar Alexander, Republican and (Democratic Senator) Patty Murray on healthcare and the president is opposing this. So when he opposes bipartisan action by Democrats and Republicans, it’s pointing fingers in the wrong direction,” Schumer said.
Republican Trump has consistently accused congressional Democrats of being obstructionists
