STOCKPORT – A Stuyvesant man was killed Sunday evening when his pickup truck ran off Route 9J and struck a utility pole.
The Columbia County Sheriff’s Office reported that Robert Jennings, 45, was driving alone at around 6:22 p.m. just north of Day Road in the Town of Stockport when for unknown reasons the vehicle struck the pole, continued down a slight embankment and overturned twice coming to rest upright.
Jennings was ejected and died at the scene.
The accident remains under investigation.
