Putnam Valley man found with drugs during traffic stop

PUTNAM VALLEY – A Putnam Valley man was arrested Thursday afternoon following a traffic stop on the Taconic State Parkway in Putnam Valley.
Putnam County Sheriff’s deputies pulled over Keith Matthews, 33, for speeding and found he was allegedly in possession of quantities of oxycodone pills, Tamazepam pills and Suboxone, all controlled substances for which he did not have a valid prescription.
Matthews was charged with several counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance as felonies as well as unlawful possession of marijuana. He was also cited for speeding.  He was sent to the Putnam County Jail in lieu of $20,000 cash bail or $40,000 bond.
