Traffic stop leads to drug arrest for Poughkeepsie man

ALBANY – A Poughkeepsie man was arrested by Thruway State Police on Sunday, charged with felony possession of crack cocaine and unlawful possession of marijuana.
Jeffrey Desir, 33, was stopped for vehicle and traffic violations near the exit 23 tolls on the Thruway in the City of Albany.
Officers detected the smell of marijuana and searched the vehicle, finding the drugs.
Desir was sent to the Albany County Jail in lieu of $5,000 bail.
