ALBANY – The state has granted Mid-Hudson Valley communities a total of $34 million to leverage $123 million in total project costs for water and wastewater infrastructure improvements. The state investment will create some 2,000 jobs across the region.
The grants are “a huge step forward” for the region’s environment and economy, said Ross Pepe, president of Construction Industry Council of Westchester and Hudson Valley. “While our clean water infrastructure needs are still significant, this historic funding program is a giant step forward for communities on both side of the Hudson River.”
