TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE –
Police in the Town of Poughkeepsie are investigating the discovery of
human remains in the area of the intersection of Main Street and Route
44/55.
The body was discovered around 10:16 a.m.
The Dutchess County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an autopsy
on Thursday to determine the cause of death.
The name of the victim will be released once the identity has been confirmed
and family members are notified.
Police Captain Kenneth Roman said there is no reason to believe there
is any safety hazard to the public.
