PHILMONT – A Philmont woman is charged with vehicular manslaughter and leaving the scene of a fatal accident, both felonies, as well as DWI, reckless driving and unsafe backing following an incident on Monday.
State Police said Jennifer McGrath-Jennings, 24, was backing up her vehicle when she struck a female pedestrian in the parking lot of Family Dollar store. The victim died at Albany Medical Center.
McGrath-Jennings fled the scene and was located later.
The investigation is continuing. State Police ask anyone who witnessed the incident or has information about it to call them at 518-852-2982.
