WHITE PLAINS – A Mount Vernon man was sentenced in Westchester County Court on Friday to six years in state prison after having pled guilty to attempted murder.
While in Mount Vernon, Marc Seward, 26, shot several times at the victim, Markel Overton, at about 2:50 a.m. on August 9, 2015. He had been shot seven times.
Police officers on patrol at the time heard several gunshots coming from the area. An investigation, which included surveillance video from nearby business, was part of the evidence in the case leading to Seward’s arrest.
