California man charged with selling meth in Catskill

CATSKILL – A Los Angeles,
California man is in the Greene County Jail being held without bail following
his arrest for criminal sale of a controlled substance – methamphetamine
– in the Village of Catskill.

State Police arrested Nicholas Distano, 49, on August 4 and also charged
him with criminal possession of a weapon – a rifle – as a
misdemeanor.
It was later determined he was a fugitive from justice from the state
of California where he is wanted for a parole violation.

His arrest was the result of a joint investigation by the State Police,
Village of Catskill Police, Greene County Sheriff’s Office and Greene
County District Attorney’s Office.
