WHITE PLAINS – Westchester County Executive Robert Astorino proposed spending $9.8 million to build a competition pool at Sprain Ridge Park, completing renovations to its water park complex.
The funding requires county board of legislators’ approval.
“We will continue to invest in our parks and pools because they are the backbone to the quality of life that makes Westchester such an attractive place to live, work and raise a family,” Astorino said. “This summer we opened the spray ground, giant kiddie pool and bathhouses. Next summer, the recreation and lap pool will complete this state-of-the-art facility.”
Subject to legislative approval, the projects would be completed by the summer 2018 season. Project design is already underway.
The project includes replacing the existing swimming pool with a new competition and lap pool, the installation of diving boards, and the rehabilitation of the pool deck.
