Stewart Marine to be buried in Arlington National Cemetery

Sgt. Kevianne

NEW WINDSOR – Marine Sgt. Julian Kevianne of New Windsor, one of
the 15 marines and one sailor who perished when the Stewart Airport-based
Marine KC-130 plane crashed in Mississippi on July 10, will be buried
in Arlington National Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation for the 31-year-old Marine will be on Tuesday, July 25 from
1 p.m. to 5 p.m. for family and close friends at Doulin Newburgh Funeral
Home. The family will receive visitors from 1 pm. to 5 p.m. on Wednesday,
July 26 at St. Mary’s Church in Washingtonville.

Kevianne was part of the Marine Aerial Refueler Transport Squadron 452
at the Stewart Air National Guard Base.

He joined the Marines on December 1, 2009 at age 23 and most recently
served as a fixed wing crew master KC-130.

He was deployed during Operation Enduring Freedom 12.2 from November 2012
to March 2013.

Kevianne received several awards and decorations including Selected Marine
Corps Reserve Medal (twice); Sea Service Deployment Ribbon; Global War
on Terrorism Expeditionary Terrorism Service Medal; National Defense Service
Metal; Letter of Appreciation (six times); Certificate of Commendation
(Individual Award).

He is survived by his wife, Sherry Jennings-Kevianne; mother, Tina Albo
of Detroit, Michigan, brothers and a sister.
