TOWN OF WALLKILL – A 30-year-old
Middletown man was killed when the car he was driving was struck head-on
by a vehicle driven by a New York City man.
State Police said Dustin Mills was driving a 2005 Honda Accord east on
Route 17M around 10:20 a.m. today (Sunday) when Robinson Perez, 28, of
New York City, who was driving a 2011 BMW SUV westbound crossed into the
opposite lane of traffic and struck Mills’ car.
Mills was pronounced dead at the scene. Perez was transported to Orange
Regional Medical Center for minor injuries.
The investigation is continuing and State Police are asking anyone who
may have witnessed a blue BMW SUV driving erratically on Route 17 westbound
near Middletown at around 10:15 a.m. to call them at 845-344-5300.
Assisting at the scene were the Town of Wallkill Police and Circleville
Fire Department.
