TOWN OF RAMAPO – A 31-year-old man was charged by Ramapo Town Police
with driving while his ability was impaired, the second arrest on that
charge. The fist case remains pending.

At about 6:30 p.m. on Friday, police responded to a motor vehicle accident
involving a rollover. The driver, whose name police did not make public,
was able to escape through a broken windshield and was taken to the hospital
for evaluation.

A Clarkstown Police Department drug recognition expert was on duty and
assisted with evaluation of the man for possible drug impairment, leading
to the driver’s arrest on a DWAI charge.

Police did not say where the accident occurred.
