MID-HUDSON – Retired Westchester County Police Detective Robert Outhouse announced his candidacy for Westchester County Legislator in the 9th District. That seat is currently held by Democrat Catherine Borgia.
Outhouse, 52, of the Town of Cortlandt, said he is running to continue his long history of public service and “to fill a void left by a hyper-partisan incumbent.”
Outhouse served with the county police department for 23 years.
On the other side of the Hudson River, incumbent Republican Orange County Legislator Kate Bonelli is seeking another term representing the 5th Legislative district. Bonelli is currently chairwoman of the Rules, Enactments and Intergovernmental Statutory Committee.
She is a former Blooming Grove Town supervisor.
