California man indicted in conspiracy to distribute marijuana in Columbia County

ALBANY – A Murietta, California
man has been indicted by a federal grand jury for conspiring to distribute
more than100 kilograms of marijuana in Columbia County.

Eric McNeil, 39, was arrested on May 2 and according to the criminal complaint,
he used the US Postal Service to send more than 100 kilos of marijuana
from California and to a co-conspirator in Columbia County.

If convicted, McNeil faces from five to 40 years in federal prison and
from four years to life of post-release supervision.

The announcement of the indictment was made by US Attorney Richard Hartunian
and Inspector in Charge Shelly Binkowski of the Postal Service Boston
Division.
