MONTICELLO – The head of what Sullivan County District Attorney James Farrell calls “a substantial cocaine distribution conspiracy” was sentenced in county court on Monday to 12 years in state prison and five years of post-release supervision for felony criminal possession of a controlled substance and five to 10 years behind bars on a felony charge of conspiracy. He was sentenced as a second felony offender with both sentences will run concurrently.
When Adrian Phillip, 33, of South Fallsburg was arrested in March 2016 he was found in possession of 300 grams of cocaine destined for the street.  He pled guilty to the charges this past April.
“Phillip was the leader of this cocaine distribution ring and was responsible for the distribution of large amounts of cocaine in our community, indeed over one-half kilo of cocaine was seized during the investigation, and, as a result, my office requested a sentence of 18 years in state prison,” Farrell said.
