PORT JERVIS – While police in the Mid-Hudson continue searching
for a man and woman wanted in Tennessee for attempted murder and kidnapping,
the couple may be driving west through Pennsylvania. One sighting was
reported in Allentown.
New York State Police said Sunday afternoon the last verifiable sighting, at 7:30 a.m. Saturday, was at the Walmart in Westfall Township, Pennsylvania, about two miles from the Delaware River.
Jarret Heitmann, 24, and Makayla Stillwell, 22, were allegedly involved in the Tennessee crimes, including attempted murder, last Tuesday.

The vehicle they are reported to have stolen in Tennessee was spotted
in Pine Bush and State Police said there was a confirmed sighting in Pine
Bush and in Bloomingburg. While in Bloomingburg, they broke into a home,
assaulted a male resident who subsequently was taken to the hospital,
and stole a rifle.
Eastern Regional Pike Police Chief Chad Stewart said they were part of the search of the Delaware Riverbank area between Matamoras and Port Jervis “as part of keeping our community safe and taking precautionary steps.”
Police ask anyone in the area to report any information to the State Police in the Town of Wallkill at 845-344-5300 or the State Police barracks in Wurtsboro at 845-888-2494.
