STEWART AIRPORT – Allegiant’s
announced passenger service to two additional Florida cities – Orlando/Sanford
and Fort Myers/Punta Gorda – is being hailed as welcomed routes
for Stewart Airport.
The service comes days after Norwegian Air began its transatlantic service with flights to Edinburgh, Scotland.
Allegiant’s new service will begin in mid-November. The airline currently operates service to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina and Tampa/St. Pete.  Allegiant will be offering its signature low cost travel on the new routes.
Dutchess County Director of Tourism Mary Kay Vrba is thrilled with the additional service to the Hudson Valley.
“It is so good to see that the airlines are beginning to pay attention to Stewart Airport and all of the folks that we have in this area and what we can do between destinations,” Verba said.
