Suwabe and seized weapons

CLARKSTOWN – A Tuckahoe man is in the Rockland County Jail in lieu of $100,000 cash bail after he was stopped for traffic infractions on the northbound Thruway in Clarkstown shortly after midnight on Saturday.
As troopers approached the car driven by Ken Suwabe, 31, they observed small plastic bags of crystal methamphetamine in plain view and when he got out of the car, he had a loaded .45 caliber pistol holstered on his belt. A search of his vehicle turned up six other loaded handguns, a loaded AR-15 assault rifle, a pistol silencer, high-capacity ammunition magazines, and small quantities of pills, cocaine, and heroin.
Police said Suwabe does not have a permit to possess firearms in New York.
He was charged with 17 counts of criminal possession a weapon, one felony count of criminal possession of a controlled substance and five misdemeanor counts of drug possession.
