NEW CITY – A man and woman
riding in one vehicle were killed when it was involved in an accident
with another car at the intersection of Route 304 and Goebel Road in New
City.
The crash occurred around 5:13 p.m. Sunday, Clarkstown Police said.
The victims were in a Toyota Camry, which collided with a Lincoln MKV.
The male driver was pronounced dead at the scene. The female passenger
was extricated and removed to a waiting ambulance where she died, police
said.
The male driver of the Lincoln suffered a laceration to his head and was
taken to a local hospital for evaluation and treatment. He was unable
to provide an account of the accident.
The names of the victims were not immediately released.
The Clarkstown Police Department Accident Investigation Team conducted
a comprehensive investigation of the events leading to the accident.
