Brower

WHITE PLAINS – A level two sex offender has been convicted in Westchester County Court in connection with a Mount Vernon sexual assault and burglary case.
James Brower, 35, of Mount Vernon, was found guilty on June 1 of burglary
as a sexually motivated crime, forcible touching and stalking.
On the afternoon of October 12, 2016, Brower accosted a woman who was walking to a deli. He made sexually charged statements that placed her in fear he would subject her to unwanted contact.
She ignored him and kept walking, but he repeated his advance and slapped her buttocks. She fled home and told her husband. The couple was startled when they found that Brower had entered her home and was on the threshold of their bedroom. He fled when he saw her husband, who called 911.
Brower was caught a short time later.
When sentenced in August, he faces up to 15 years in state prison and 20 years of post-release supervision.
