TOWN OF ROCHESTER – An Accord man is charged with felony assault following a domestic incident on Sunday, May 28 in the afternoon.
Ulster County Sheriff’s deputies determined that during an altercation, Ronald Coppersmith, 47, got into a vehicle in the driveway while still arguing with the victim. She became entangled in the vehicle, but Coppersmith stepped on the gas, striking the victim, who was seriously injured suffering multiple leg fractures. She was flown to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie.
Coppersmith was sent to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $1,000 cash bail or $2,500 bond.
