TOWN OF POUGHKEEPSIE – A 39-year-old Poughkeepsie man sustained injuries when he lost control of his motorcycle and was ejected onto the roadway while riding on Spackenkill Road in the area of Route 9 in the Town of Poughkeepsie.
Town Police said the accident, which occurred minutes before 11 p.m. on Wednesday, May 24, resulted in serious but not life threatening injuries. The operator, whose name police did not release, was transported to Vassar Brothers Medical Center for treatment.
The road was closed for six hours while the accident scene was investigated.
