SUNY Sullivan confers 224 degrees

LOCH SHELDRAKE – SUNY Sullivan celebrated its 53rd commencement
exercise on Saturday with 224 students graduating from the Loch Sheldrake
school.

Graduate Brianna Worden, who received the Faculty Award for General Excellence,
served as class speaker. Acting College President Jay Quaintance and SUNY
Sullivan Board of Trustees Chairwoman Theresa Hamlin also addressed the
class of 2017.

Faculty, staff and students were also recognized with SUNY Chancellor’s
Awards. The SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence in Teaching was
presented to Larry Reeger; the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence
in Professional Service was presented to Tammy Porter; the SUNY Chancellor’s
Award for Excellence in Classified Service was presided to Jennifer Martinetti;
the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Excellence for Faculty Service was
presented to Mary Sudol; and the SUNY Chancellor’s Award for Student
Excellence was presented to Sarah Espinosa and Daisy O’Bryan.
