SAUGERTIES – A Village of Saugerties man was taken to the Health Alliance Broadway campus for psychiatric evaluation after he was caught running down Market Street in the village without any clothes.
Saugerties Police said Daniel Stoltzfus, 30, had removed an American flag from a flagpole at a Market Street residence and was observed spitting on the flag and wiping his buttocks with it.
Charges of petit larceny, criminal mischief and disorderly conduct are pending, police said.
