Roscoe NY owners celebrate their showing

NEW YORK – The first ever Taste NY Craft Beer Challenge, in New York City, resulted in The Roscoe NY Beer Co. in Sullivan County tying for first place with Brewery Ommegang from Cooperstown.
“As a New York Farm brewer, we are proud to be a part of the ever-growing craft industry that not only provides quality craft beer but strengthens the New York economy,” according to a statement from the three owners of the brewery, Phil and Donna Vallone and Linda DeSabato.
The Taste NY Inaugural Craft Beer Challenge was launched on May 2 and invited New Yorkers to vote for their favorite New York craft brewery in celebration of the diversity, range, and quality of the state’s craft beer industry.
More than 170 breweries signed up to participate, and more than 42,000 votes were cast online.
