TOWN OF CHESTER – A student in the Chester Union Free School District was identified on Wednesday for having made a threat to the district’s high school, Chester Academy.
Police were on the campus on Wednesday out of an abundance of caution, Superintendent Sean Michel wrote in a letter to parents.
Town Police concluded the threat made in the morning was an isolated incident, Michel said. “Any rumors of weapons, or any other dangerous items, at this point are also considered not to be credible.”
The superintendent said the district could not discuss individual students or student discipline. “I can assure you that the district’s Code of Conduct has been followed and that the student was appropriately disciplined,” he said.
Michel said any rumors of weapons or other dangerous items at the school, “at this point are also considered not to be credible.”
