KINGSTON – The parking meter kiosks slated for Kingston city parking lots have been ordered, Mayor Steven Noble said.
Once installed this summer, the city will begin charging for parking in its public lots.
“We expect them to be in, in about eight weeks or so and then we will install them and we expect to see parking kiosks go in, in July or August of this coming summer,” the mayor said.
Noble said the city will also be rolling out a mobile app for on-street
parking meters this summer.
Money to pay for the parking lot devices came from a bond approved by the common council.
