Gander Mountain to liquidate merchandise in all stores including in Hudson Valley

MID-HUDSON – Gander Mountain,
the big-box chain that specializes in outdoor, camping, hunting and other
sports supplies, gear and clothing, is liquidating the merchandise in
its 126 stores including locations in the Town of Wallkill and Kingston.
The company’s website announced total liquidation effective immediately.
The website said in March 2017, Gander Mountain filed for voluntary Chapter 11 Bankruptcy and began the work to restructure the company and remain a part of the outdoor community. In May 2017, Gander Mountain and Overton’s, which specializes in boating, were acquired by Camping World Holdings, Inc.
When the stores will be shuttered was not announced.
