Man who snorted five bags of heroin revived with Narcan

TOWN OF MONTGOMERY – A man, who later told Montgomery Town Police that he had snorted five bags of heroin and was found unconscious on Tuesday, was revived with two doses of Narcan.
The man did not respond to the first dose, so officers administered a second one resulting in him sitting up unaware of where he was and what was going on. He asked an officer if he had been in an accident.
He told police the five bags he snorted was his normal dose. Five bags of the drug were found in his car and seized.
The man, whose name police did not make public, was turned over to New Windsor Ambulance Corps personnel.
Police said no charges were filed because of the New York 911 Good Samaritan law regarding overdoses.
