Four arrested following Esopus motel burglary

ESOPUS – Four people were arrested by the Ulster County Sheriff’s office in connection with a burglary at the Capri Motel in the Town of Esopus.
The April 2 incident involved a knife. A vehicle matching the description of one that fled the scene was located and investigation led to the arrests of Alycia Canfield, 29, of Kingston; Joseph Petras, 30, of Kingston; Casey Kurtz, 24, of Kingston and Erik Fehring, 29, of Stone Ridge.
Canfield was charged with aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle. Petras was charged with robbery, criminal possession of a weapon and possessing an imitation controlled substance. Kurtz was charged with robbery and Fehring was charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and criminal possession of an imitation controlled substance.
Petras and Kurtz were committed to the Ulster County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 bond. Fehring is held in lieu of $1,000 bail or $3,000 bond.  Canfield was released with traffic tickets.
