Names of passengers in Sky Acres plane crash released

POUGHKEEPSIE – Three of the people onboard the single-engine plane that flipped over while landing at Sky Acres Airport in Union Vale on Sunday afternoon were Cohoes residents, including the young pilot.  Christopher Maloney, 17, was at the controls when he came in for a landing and ran off the runway.  The plane flipped into a pond.
Two other passengers, Michael Maloney, 52, Lynne Maloney, 52, both of Cohoes, were not injured.
A rear passenger Louis Farcot-Lafond, 16, of Paris, France was transported to MidHudson Regional Hospital in Poughkeepsie with a minor head injury and released.
The FAA is still investigating.
