Seven arrested in Highland Falls rooming house

TOWN OF HIGHLANDS – Police
in the Town of Highlands have arrested seven people on drug charges in
a rooming house at 467 Main Street in Highland Falls.

The operation on Friday, March 31 was conducted by the Town of Highlands
Police Department Special Investigation Unit.

Two search warrants were executed resulting in the arrests of five people
on charges of misdemeanor possession of marijuana. Seized following the
months-long investigation were marijuana, crack cocaine and cocaine.

Chief Jack Quinn identified those arrested as Siomara Sanders, 22, of
45 Drew Avenue in Highland Falls; Gina Marie McDonald, 49, of 107 Benkard
Avenue in Newburgh; Matthew Anderson, 18, of 45 Drew Avenue in Highland
Falls; William Larkin, 61, of 467 Main Street in Highland Falls; and Bobby
Jackson, 23, of 45 Drew in Highland Falls.

They were each issued an appearance ticket and released pending a future
court appearance.

Two other people were arrested at the scene – Kevin Hekl, 62, and
James Jackson, 52, both of 467 Main Street in Highland Falls., They were
each charged with conspiracy and three counts of criminal possession of
a controlled substance, all as felonies.

They were both remanded to the Orange County Jail without bail.

The Special Investigations Unit of Town of Highlands Police was created
by Chief Quinn five months ago to address complaints of open drug dealing
in the town and village.

The unit is comprised of officers from both departments.

ATF special agents and the Rockland County Intelligence Center assisted
in this investigation.
