NYACK – Mayor Jen White announced
that she will appoint Nyack resident Elijah Reichlin-Melnick as a Village
Trustee to fill the vacancy on the Village Board created by the recent
resignation of Trustee Doug Foster. Reichlin-Melnick currently serves
as a member of the Village Planning Board,
“Doug Foster, who served village residents for almost eight
years, was a major contributor to positive village change, the mayor noted.
“Doug’s knowledge of municipal issues, his planning background, his
willingness to spend time addressing residents’ concerns and his
work ethic left us with a serious void when he left the Board.
Elijah is an excellent choice to fill his big shoes.  Elijah has
shown himself to be a committed and dedicated volunteer, who is deeply
knowledgeable about the issues facing our village and full of ideas for
how to address them.”
Reichlin-Melnick will attend his first meeting as trustee at the village
board meeting on April 13.
