Hudson Valley residents in support of the Trump administration
take to the Walkway

POUGHKEEPSIE – Local supporters of the President Donald Trump came
out to the Walkway Over Hudson on Saturday, to support the administration
they feel has been under fire by the liberal left.

Some 150 people, many carrying American flags and pro-Trump signs, walked
across the bridge in a show of solidarity for the new administration,
and its policies.

“Basically, we see that the mainstream media is doing well to magnify
opposition to the present administration, and we just wanted to let everyone
know that the majority of New Yorker’s are in support of this administration,
our police force, our veterans and all those people who are working together
to make America great again,” said Town of Newburgh resident Rev.
William Banuchi, executive director of the New York State Faith and Freedom
Coalition.

Families, veterans, and members of religious organizations made the march
to promote their support of the administration’s policies regarding
legal immigration, opposition to the trend of sanctuary cities, getting
back to the roots of the constitution and advocating for smaller government.

Banuchi said supporting smaller government was a crucial focus of holding
the event.

“We want to see less government, more government of ‘We the
People,’ bringing government down to the local level – down
to the family level – to get government out of the way so people
can truly enjoy the freedoms that our founders intended,” he said.

To promote their enthusiasm for the constitution, marchers handed out
pocket-sized copies of the constitution to passersby on the walkway.
Banuchi is planning to hold a class on the US Constitution next Friday
at 436 Robinson Avenue in Newburgh.
