TOWN OF SOUTHEAST – State Police and the US Postal Service Office
of Inspector General have arrested a Brewster man on charges of felony
grand larceny and misdemeanor official misconduct.

On March 7, troopers were dispatched to a Southeast business to conduct
a larceny investigation of an Apple laptop.

An investigation revealed that Joshua Hoffman, 32, a part-time US Postal
Service employee, was at the business delivering mail when he allegedly
stole the laptop form the reception area.

Hoffman was arrested on March 16, arraigned and remanded to the Putnam
County Jail in lieu of $500 bail or $5,000 bond.
